Got Jesus?

Are you saved? Are you not sure you're saved? Most people try to "complicate it," but God made it like a KISS. "Keep it simple silly!" It's so simple, this one verse says it all.

"For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, will not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16). There's another verse that can be quite comforting to a brand new Christian. "Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13).

Now, if you want to be sure you're saved and going to heaven, just say this little prayer:

"Lord Jesus, I am a wretched sinner. Please forgive me for my sins and come into my life. Help me to live for You rather than myself. Help me to be kind to others and be more like You Jesus. Thank You for Your forgiveness and for dying in my place. In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen."

If you just prayed that little prayer, congratulations! You're a Born Again believer who is SAVED and "seated in heavenly places!" (Ephesians 2:6). Welcome to the family! Now you need to go and tell somebody that you said that prayer and that you believe! "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9).

Don't forget to pray for forgiveness every day. "His mercies are new every morning. Blessed be the name of the Lord." (Lamentations 3:23). After you get right with God for your day, "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour." (1 Peter 5:8). You may want to try a New International Version or "NIV" bible. It's easier for a new Christian to understand. Read daily, but don't get hung up on reading the bible in a year? You're better off studying a passage that hits you just the right way!

Jesus loves you and I do too. I want you to know God the way that I know Him. He is so good to me. I have to say thank you every day because without Jesus? I don't know where I'd be and I want you to know the God I know!

And now that you're saved, it's time to write
a Dear John letter to the Devil!

Jesus Is Forever

There is a grace that never ends, love that knows no bounds and hope that can fill your empty soul! That grace, love and hope are all found in Jesus!

When we are weak, He becomes our strength. When we are sick, He is our healing. When we are troubled, He is our peace. When we're running from the enemy, He is our refuge! He is LOVE! He is GRACE! He is the SAVIOR that took our place on a Roman cross!

For those who feel that there's no hope for you because of the things you've done? TOO LATE! Jesus already died for all of your sins and mine. He died for ALL OF US! It's never too late to begin again, or to be saved for the first time. Jesus is coming very soon, but time is beginning to run out.

I know one thing for sure. Nothing can ever separate us from the Love of God!

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height or depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the -love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39).

So rejoice! Help is on the Way!

It's Darkest Before the Dawn

The bible tells us, that "he who endures to the end, will be saved." (Matthew 24:13).

Jesus was referring to the "end days," "last days," or "the end of the dispensation of grace." He's talking about the days, just before He comes back to retrieve those of us who believe, and take us home to heaven.

I'm sure you've all seen how horrible things are in the world right now, with terrorism spiking across Europe, the Middle East and in the US. The terrorists we're dealing with are 100 times worse than Usama Bin Laden simply because the days are growing more violent, which the bible said would happen! Here's another example: The anger, hate, lies and corruption in DC! Paul said, "Because lawlessness is increased, people's love for one another will grow cold." (Matthew 24:12). These are all perfect examples of "lawlessness."

I pray, sometimes several times a day for the victims of terrorism all around the world. (Just saw a tweet a few moments ago that there was another attack in Germany!). There were so many attacks within the last week, whether it was in Germany, France, or America, I simply can't keep up.

Here in our country, "Nation will rise against nation," translates into "nationality against nationality!" We've got Black Lives Matter groups protesting every act by American Law Enforcement as 'abusive' or 'racist' towards African Americans. Nothing could be further from the truth. Most LEO's want to do their jobs and get home to their families safe. We're now beginning to see attacks and ambushes on American police officers! Dallas, Louisiana, Kansas, Michigan, etc. The only thing we're left wondering, is "when will it happen next," not "if" but "when." This irrational hatred is causing people to go off the deep end! All of this stress is beginning to feel like an emotional tornado!

As Christians, we know the day is near. Jesus said, "When you see all these things coming to pass, stand and look up, for your redemption draws nigh!" (Luke 21:28).

All of this darkness can make it hard to see what's in front of us, so it's time we make "careful" the first word in our vocabulary and WAKE UP! Time is running out, so please? Get right with God? I wouldn't wish the Seven Year Tribulation on my worst enemy!

This may be a dark time in the history of civilization, but then, it's always darkest before the dawn!
