God's Billboard

If you were paying attention, then you've seen the news stories about Pluto and a photo (below), taken by the New Horizons spacecraft launched in 2006 in an effort to study Pluto, its moons and the Kuiper Belt.

It took the craft nine years to travel the distance to get a closer look and this was one of the first photos we received back.

"Then God said, 'Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,' and it was so. God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser to govern the night. He made the stars also. God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to govern the day and the night and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:14-16a). I don't care if you are an atheist, you cannot deny the evidence of what appears to be a very large, very visible heart on the side of the planet!

I think God is using His "heavenly billboard" to tell us, "Hey, no matter what happens, hold on! Trust only in me and I will keep you safe! I love you so much I died for you, so keep studying, keep praying, stay informed about what is really happening around you and keep looking up! I'm coming for you very soon so don't stop trying to reach out to those who don't know Me! Quickly get them saved so they can come with you when I come to get you! See you soon, I'll always love you, Jesus."

My only response to that heart on the side of Pluto after the horrific couple of weeks we've had in this country was this: "I love you too Daddy."

When Jesus explained to the disciples what would be the sign of His coming and the end of the age, Jesus told them what they would need to know, and then said, "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." (Luke 21:28).

"Awestruck, we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim, You are amazing God."
