I Need Thee Every Hour

I need Him every hour of every day.  How about you?  How often do you look up and give thanks?  How often do you pray?  We are supposed to "pray without ceasing."  (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

If you're going through a rough time in your life, kneel and pray!  Even if you can't feel Him working in your life, or you're not hearing His voice, I promise you, even if you don't feel or hear Him now, you will feel His presence and hear from Him in your life again!  Sometimes God can be kinda quiet? Sometimes I think He is quiet because I'm too busy complaining or talking about me me me and all of my problems to even hear Him!  He's a polite God and He will not talk over us!

If our heart isn't in right standing with Him, that will also block His voice! Sin separates us from Him, but the Holy Spirit is always with us as Christians and He is always ready to forgive us!  In fact, He is waiting to forgive us!  "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness!" (1 John 1:9). So even if you don't always feel Him, He is ALWAYS THERE!  We're the ones that walk away, but He will leave the other sheep He is tending to come and find us!  He is the Good Shepherd!  He will never leave us nor forsake us!  That is a promise from God! Hold tightly to it!

So when I'm in pain after waking up, which is a daily occurrence, I tell Him, "God, I will suffer whatever you call me to suffer.  I know you are working on giving me strength that I don't and can't have without YOU!"  He is our strength when we are weak!  Paul said, "And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness!  Most gladly therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses so that the power of Christ may dwell in me!"  (2 Corinthians 12:9).

I am weak.  I am in pain every day upon waking up.  I suffer a bunch of different maladies, but it doesn't matter!  All I need to do, is pray to God every morning for His grace to get me through the day!  (1 part God's Grace, 1 part Ibuprofen, and I'm set after a few hours lol).  But during those hours when I'm suffering in pain, I pray constantly!  I talk to God like He is my best friend and physically sitting right next to me!  I feel HIS PRESENCE DAILY in my life! I have no one else!  My dr's are stumped about how to help me, plus the bills are killing us financially, but God know's our needs, and He promises to provide them for us!  "And my God will meet all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus."  (Philippians 4:19).  Another promise!

So I don't have to be strong!  I just have to be humble. I just have to TRUST only HIM and nobody else, all the time. By the middle of the  afternoon, I feel much better and am able to write this blog!  I trust in Him, above all else for my suffering, and if I am suffering for something He is planning to do in my life, for my testimony, then I'm WILLING to suffer!  All I have to do is think of others who are suffering from more difficult health issues, financial problems, those who have lost their homes in foreclosure, those who are on the edge of suicide, those who are just hurting and don't know how to make it stop, and I pray for THEM!  That always lifts me up above my pain, even if I'm still feeling it!  It brings joy to my heart to know that I am at least contributing something to the world. rather than sitting here and feeling sorry for myself in an endless pity party as I used to do!

No matter how old you are, no matter what the condition of your health, no matter what you are going through, we don't have to be strong because Jesus will be our strength, if we invite Him in to do His work in us, He will blow our minds! He's all we need!

God Bless those who pray for me Lord!  It is their prayers along with my own that help me get through each day!  Please grant them a special blessing each and every day for their faithfulness in prayer!

Prayer is the answer.  Humility is the answer.  Jesus is the answer!  Go to Him now won't you?  Lay your concerns at the foot of His cross!  He cares for you! (1 Peter 5:7)

"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!" (Philippians 4:13)
