Have you ever felt like committing suicide? Do you take medication that could cause those types of thoughts? If so, quickly make an appointment with your doctor, and make sure you let your doctor know about these feelings, especially if the medication is a new one. If it's not a medication thing, then it's a soul thing, and if you really feel you need to, seek out a Christian therapist who can help you. It's better than the alternative, right?
I've had problems emotionally, and have had to take an anti-depressant, but now I just take a dose of Jesus every day. I have to be on other medications, but they are for pain, diabetes, etc. Those who suffers physically, especially when it is almost a constant thing, tend to think about suicide a lot. I did. I thought about it A LOT! It seemed to be a part of my everyday bummed out, in pain and not handling it well, routine. But now? I just call upon the name of our Saviour, Jesus, for He will rescue us from any storm the devil is trying to stir up! Jesus is there. He's never left you, nor forsaken you. The bible says so! "Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls." (1 Peter 1:8-9). This is a scripture we should all read every morning!
On June 24, 2014, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention reported the following. "U.S. national suicide deaths rose slightly for the fifth year in a row from 12.1 per 100,000 in 2010 to 12.3 per 100,000 in 2011."
For the fifth year in a row, the rates are slowly rising. I doubt that it changed, but probably went up in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Why? People are losing hope! Many have lost their homes in foreclosure, many have lost their jobs and cannot support their families without some sort of help from food stamps or some sort of welfare.
I have thought over and over about suicide. That's why I'm writing about it today. For those of you who suffer from this little idiot demon, shake it off! Pray and ask God for forgiveness for your sins, especially your thought life. Rebuke the devil til your rebuker's worn out! Seek God first, read His word, for it brings LIFE! "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life." (John 6:63).
If you are struggling, and that evil spirit haunts you like it did me, please rebuke the demon by just saying "Jesus." It's that simple. For the demons know He is the son of God and they tremble at the sound of His name! The bible says so! "Submit yourself therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee." (James 4:7).
Keep your chin up! Remember who you are and who you belong to! You belong to Christ! The devil will do anything and everything to keep us down! Please don't let him win? Jesus wants to take the weight off of you, and take it upon Himself. "Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am humble and gentle in heart and I will give you rest for your souls." (Matthew 11:28-29).
God Bless all who read this Father. I know there are many who need this post. Bless them and give them peace.
